The Opening is on Nov 2nd 2016, from 6pm, at the Rich Mix in the Mezzanine Gallery (London, UK). Free entry for all.
The Photo-Open exhibition will then be open daily from 10am to 10pm until 26 November with free access to the public.
The PhotoMonth Photo-Open is an opportunity for photographers to showcase their work to the public, curators and collectors. All submitted images are screened and a selection printed and hung in the Rich Mix Mezzanine Gallery. The exhibition is very popular and the public are invited to vote for Best in Show. The winning photographer will be awarded tickets to the Sony World Photography Awards in London April 2017.
At the Opening, there will be projections of photo-films in the main space from 8pm-10pm. Students from The School of Punktum will be screening work from their final projects on the theme of Austerity presented by Ed Thompson photographer/lecturer. Photographers Rod Morris and Heather McDonough screen a photo-film about refugees based on their experiences volunteering in the Calais camps. And there will be a special screening of the Lensculture Portrait Awards 2016.
